Born in St. Luke’s Hospital, and a lifelong resident of the Newburgh area, Ted Doering enjoyed building choppers early on, followed by the making of replica parts for Harley avidsons. The worldwide success of his Newburgh based company, V-Twin Manufacturing, helped make
it possible for Ted’s collection to increase over the years, and in 2011 he opened the non-profit museum Motorcyclepedia at 250 Lake Street to showcase his passion, where he currently serves as the President of the museum’s Board of Directors. Mr. Doering has been an advocate for Newburgh, having aided City Hall’s revitalization efforts and making opportunities to bring added jobs and revenue to the city in thanks for its embracing of the motorcycle community.
